Gift-giving should feel like the fun part
GiftMyCrew started with our own family. One side ran its Secret Santa on a site where somebody always forgot their username or password, and adding a gift from anywhere but one store was a chore. The other side swapped lists in a giant reply-all email: an Amazon wishlist here, a few random links there, and nobody quite sure who was buying what.
So we built what we wanted for both of them. Share one link, and everyone knows what to do: no accounts, no passwords, and every list in one place, with ideas from any store.
What it does
- Secret Santa: add everyone’s names, keep couples from drawing each other, and share one link. Each person privately sees who they got, and that person’s wishlist.
- Your own wishlist: paste links from any store or just type ideas, then send friends a view-only link.
- Group wishlists: everyone’s lists in one shared place, so nobody has to ask “what do you want this year?”
How we want it to feel
- One link, no sign-ups. Nobody should need an account or an email address to join a family gift exchange.
- Calm and simple. A few clear screens, big buttons and plain words, on any phone. If your grandpa can’t use it in a minute, we haven’t finished.
- Surprises stay surprises. You never see what’s been bought from your own list, and the organizer never sees who drew whom.
- Private by default. We keep only what your group types in, and each group is deleted automatically 90 days after it was last used. The details are on our privacy page.
